Happy New Year's Eve !

I read a beautiful quote in a new quilting book yesterday. It is a good way to end the year and start a new one. With reflection and hope! My love and friendship to you all gals!

"The Patchwork Quilt is really a symbol of the world which must come: One new design made out of many old designs. We will stitch this world together yet. Don't give up." Pete Seeger.

  2. love the quilty philosophy there...

I was thinking of another this morning. Some friends told me that I was so talented for my quilts. I said, "actually, you just have to have the patience to connect one piece to another..." One piece at a time, right... food for life and quilts! (though occasionally you get some great chain or strip piecing... it does help things to move along!)

    Happy New Year Pam!

  4. Oh, I forgot, the thread...

I have to confess... I've never bought the special brands yet... I used Coats & Clark mercerized cotton on a 1200 yd spool and have never had a problem with it.

    Smiles.
