A Little Christmas

Yep, it really was 104 degrees here on Saturday and Sunday wasn't much better. So, a little Christmas made me feel cooler. Here's two blocks that may become part of a bigger throw or pillows. I have 3 other fairies to make into more stars...for a total of five eventually.

Love those little sweet faces! Are you gals doing Christmas yet?

Honey Run Quilt Sampler Party Date Correction!!

Honey Run Quilt Sampler Party September 9th!!

Just in Case anyone out there is planning on making the trip to Chico for Honey Run's Quilt Sampler Party Celebration I had the date wrong in my original post about Carmen's Blog.

Yikes, now that is something that makes a Librarygal have extreme nightmares. Wrong Information. Ye Gads...Nobody wants to be a date late or a dollar short. Right?

I Really Do Love Flea Market Fancy!

Oh I do indeed love Denyse Schmidt's Flea Market Fancy! If you do too, go on over to visit Penny at Sew Go Take a Hike and the Flea Market Fancy Freaks to add your love to the list so we can get the message to the fine folks at Free Spirit. Notice that my blog photograph header is from the beloved cloth. It is very versatile and goes with lots of vintage and other current collections. That is what makes a fabric worth reprinting! do you agree?

Welcome Aboard Gals!

Hey Gals, it is my pleasure to alert you to two wonderful new blogs...go on over and say hello!

Carmen Rolfe is the proprietor of Honey Run Quilters and has her brand new blog up and going
just in time for Honey Run's introduction to the entire world in American Patchwork and Quilting's Quilt Sampler Fall 2009!

They will be having a big party on September 9th, so if you are close by, I'd suggest getting over to the store for a great time and some incredible prizes including two Juki Sewing Machines!

And now on to Debbie's One Stitch Off.
Remember my Sunflower? Debbie was the teacher for that class, and she is also known as the queen of black and white polka dot accents. She magically brings bling to any of her many quilts with just the right accent of the dot!

She machine quilts wonderfully and teaches both "Beyond Stippling" and "More Feathers" as she has mastered these skills over the years. bout time you got to know her!

I know you bloggy gals will welcome them to our little world! xo Pam in Chico

Sewing Machine Song Fest!

My Bernina is in the hospital...something awful and expensive called the L Board has gone kaput. Gosh, and I took her on vacation and everything.

So I have been out of commission and tapping my foot waiting for her to get well. In the meantime enjoy this little ditty by the wonderful actress and songbird Betty Hutton who knew before I was born how to keep her machine happy. Here's hoping I don't get into too much mischief while I have all this free time on my hands.

Who Me?

Well, as crazy as it seems, I have been asked to teach a class at Morning Star Quilts in Paradise! I guess my Gwen Marston enthusiasm has burst through and so, with a full class on October 5th, I am going to teach this version of Liberated Basket! I am excited! Funny how life is...transitions can be so difficult...and this wonderful opportunity will help as the Sweetie Girl goes on about her life. Life. Gotta Love It!

Bye for Now Sweetie Girl

Monique, Momma, Carmen, Paloma, Joanne, and Kate front and center!

Last night we had a really nice family and friends party for the Sweetie Girl. Grandpa, Paloma, Deakin, Joanne and Dave, and Carmen's good friends Monique and Kaitlyn...and of course the sweet boyfriend, Will. Here we are, smiling and wishing her Happy Trails until we meet again. Of course in this day of instant technology I know we will all stay connected. I like that! Today we do the final stuff and then go to Sacramento to fly her off in the morning. There is a time for every season under heaven...good words to live by. xo Pam in Chico
